A little bit about Sarah....
Born in Findlay, Ohio and raised in Waterville, just outside of Toledo., Sarah Chaney fell in love with theatre and music at a very young age. When her father was in high school, he was offered a full scholarship to Julliard for Opera but turned it down so that he could play College Football. His plans were thwarted when he blew out his knee. Many years later, after getting married, having a family, and setting down roots, he fell into theatre and singing again. When Sarah was about 5 years old, she saw him perform in a musical at the local community theatre (was it Kiss Me Kate?...Finian's Rainbow?). She was entranced; she turned to her mom and said, "I want to do that!"
So...that's what she did. There hasn't been a year that's gone by where she wasn't performing in some capacity or another since the age of five.. She studied Theatre and Political Science at Miami University (Oxford, OH) and after graduation, moved to New York City. There, she continued her education with Maggie Flanigan's Meisner program, while continuing to perform on the New York Stage. singing with many bands, on cruise ships, and national tours. She also had her own Theatre Company...MTWorks.
As full as her NYC life was, she wanted a change. She fell in love with LA while visiting a dear friend. It felt like the perfect amalgamation of her rural Ohio roots and the urban energy of NYC. So, she made the move. Since arriving, she became smitten with TV and Film and has had the great fortune of acting in features, short films, TV, web series, commercials, sketch comedy, and theatre. She is currently studying with fabulous Crista Flanagan.
In addition to her acting career, Sarah is now producing and writing TV & Film alongside her business partner, Heather Olt. Their production company, 6 With Heels Productions, LLC, was created to give them the platform to develop and create art however and whenever they want while strengthening the voice of women on and off the screen.
